Weston Dean Custom Homes community spotlight: Monteola

Categories: Communities | Posted: July 19, 2019

Weston Dean has been a highly sought after Boerne custom home builder in San Antonio’s popular Monteola community.  As with many of these, home buyers have the opportunity and the privilege of not only being intimately involved with the customization of their dream home, including features and other prized amenities to fit your personal lifestyle, but also to personally select the lot upon which your home will reside.  Within this private, gated community of Monteola, every single lot is no smaller than 5 acres of land that will belong wholly to you and your family.  Even better, while each custom home from Weston Dean is priced starting in the $550,000s, property taxes here are actually a third less than they are within the city limits of San Antonio.

Throughout Monteola you’ll find every bit of security you could want to ensure the safety of your family, such as video surveillance, guardhouse, and sculptured street markers beyond each entrance gate.  There are premier golf courses for the avid, expert, or beginning golfer.  Of course, each resident is within minutes of San Antonio itself, known for its fine dining, high quality entertainment, and countless shopping and retail options.  Your access to downtown San Antonio is quick and easy for pleasure or work, and you’ll love just how smooth a commute it is.  Additionally the Medical Center is accessible and convenient for all your health needs.

All families with students enrolled in the independent public school district of Comal County will find a home-away-from-home at Bulverde Elementary, Spring Branch Middle, and Smithson Valley High Schools, offering educational excellence and plenty of recreational activities for every interest under the Texas sun.

Weston Dean has mastered plenty of contemporary architecture styles, elegant and perfectly fitted to match the area’s natural beauty in its landscape.  Luxury, personal touch, leisure, and nothing short of perfect – we can definitely make that dream home of yours happen!

Since we’re pretty sure you’ll want to see this community firsthand, here’s how to get there.  If you’re going to be driving along US 281 and 1604, be sure to head north for about 9 miles on 281, and take the FM 1863 exit.  Turn left (West) beneath the highway toward Bulverde.  Continue on 1863 and make another lefthand turn ont East Ammann Road.  The entrance to Monteola will be on your right just before you reach Blanco Road.

However, if you’re already at Blanco and 1604, head north on Blanco Road and drive for roughly 11 miles to reach East Ammann Road.  Make that righthand turn and Monteola’s entrance is on your left.

And with that: You have arrived!

Be sure to take time out this weekend to come and see for yourself why Monteola might be the place you want to call home!

What Does Color Mean To You When Choosing Your Weston Dean Home

Categories: Custom Home Design | Posted: July 12, 2019

Pantone color palette guideHave you ever stopped to think, what draws people to certain things?  Why do they pick a certain outfit, picture, or home for that matter?  Does color play a role in any of these decisions?   If you look at the psychology behind color, it will help you understand the reason behind some of the choices that you make. Weston Dean Custom Homes, a Boerne Custom Home Builder, shares a deeper insight to consider when picking out colors for your new home.

If you looked online at the Weston Dean floor plans available, did you feel drawn to any one model? Now look at the color of the clothes that you are wearing, or the color of car that you are driving.  Do you see any similarities?  There is a lot of validity to the psychological effects created by the colors used in a room.  Some personality descriptions are based on color preferences.  It might be fun to consider some of the colors below and if it’s your color of choice, what it might say about you.

Red:  You are outspoken, intense and want to be part of the action.  In a crowd you are dynamic and noticeable.  This color is a good choice for a dining room or kitchen since it can stimulate the appetite.  Not a good choice for a bedroom (especially a child’s room) since it is a color that stimulates.

Yellow:  You are intellectual and drawn toward the new and modern.  High spirited, cheerful, and idealistic best describes your personality.  You live by high standards and give sound advice.  This is another good color for a kitchen, dining room, or living room.  If you are selling a house, it is the color that is said to sell the best.

Blue:  If are drawn to blue, you are cautious, conservative and sensitive to the needs of others.  You are loyal and trustworthy friend.  Blue is the color you want to choose for bedrooms.  It is a soothing, relaxing color that promotes rest.

Brown:  If you like brown, you are likely to be seen as stable and unchanging.  You are warm, comfortable, and accepting.  This is a great color for floors, tile or things that can’t be changed easily.

Black:  This color means you are sophisticated, mysterious, and dramatic.  By adding a little black to a room you can add interest.  It doesn’t hurt to have this color somewhere in a room.

White:  If you like white, you expect to be happy most of the time.  Your personality is light, good, and pure.  Here is a color that can be great for cabinets or trim, but if you use too much, it can become lifeless.  If your home is all white and you don’t add color in the room it will always feel cold or that something is missing.  People do not feel warm and comfortable in an all white room.

Hopefully this helps as you make your choices for your new Weston Dean Home.  It might shed light on why you are drawn to something and not another.  When we surround ourselves with colors that we enjoy, we are more likely to feel comfortable in that space.
