Life in Spring Branch, TX: Your Next Hometown

August 24, 2021

Are you on the hunt for the right neighborhood in southern Texas? Consider living in Spring Branch. Spring Branch has plenty to offer—close proximity to the city, great schools, beautiful views, and spectacular hill country living. As a local homebuilder, Weston Dean Custom Homes knows the benefits of living in Spring Branch. Here’s why many people have chosen it as their hometown.

Spring Branch’s history

Hans Heinrich Dietrich Knibbe, Spring Branch’s first pioneer, established a homestead in 1852 on land purchased for one dollar per acre. His family developed six farms between 1854 and 1856 and equally divided them along opposite banks of Spring Creek, a spring-fed creek that flowed into the Guadalupe River. The first Post Office in the area was established on July 1, 1858, and they adopted the name Spring Branch. Since its humble beginnings, Spring Branch has grown into a bustling town that’s home to many!
