Stunning custom kitchen in Vintage Oaks community

Are you in the market this Fall for a new home? If so, Weston Dean Custom Homes, a premier New Braunfels custom builder, would like to invite you home to Vintage Oaks, a stunning custom home community in New Braunfels, Texas!

Known as “Tuscany in the heart of Texas,” Vintage Oaks entices residents to Texas Hill Country by way of the sheer beauty in the panoramic views that envelop this Southstar Community from every side.  Imagine exceptional sunsets over rolling hills accented by plentiful lush oak trees; Vintage Oaks has that and so much more!

At first glance, you’ll note amenities such as a large pool and even a lazy river that’s available for every resident.  Even the outdoor kitchen is something new and exciting and not often something people will see every day.  However, this gem of a community resides in the oasis of the Texas Wine Trail, and their very own Dry Comal Creek Vineyard is an incredibly popular place to gather for tours, tastings, and time away from it all.

There’s plenty to do at Vintage Oaks and even more within minutes away from this community.  Just a few recreational opportunities include Schlitterbahn Water Park, several golf courses, Canyon Lake, the historical charm of Gruene, and San Marcos’ Tanger Outlet Center.  Tourism attractions are plentiful, and so are dining and shopping possibilities.  San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk is only a half hour away, and here is where you’ll find some of the most excellent Mexican food anywhere.  If you’re a fan of music, you’ll definitely want to make the short drive to Austin to take advantage of unmatched live entertainment.

Vintage Oaks is served by the Comal Independent School District (ISD).  Bill Brown Elementary, Arlon Seay Intermediate School, and Smithson Valley High School are highly qualified and known for their high educational standards.

We heartily encourage you to take an afternoon to visit it in person!  If you’re coming from San Antonio, take 281 North and make a right hand turn onto Highway 46.  Vintage Oaks will be on your left after approximately 10 miles, located at 1110 Vintage Oaks, New Braunfels, Texas.

So if you think Vintage Oaks is the perfect place to build the next chapter of your life, contact Weston Dean Homes to get started on building your dream home!

Taking care of your new Weston Dean Custom Home: Countertop maintenance

San Antonio custom homes

You finally have your dream kitchen in your Boerne custom home and want to keep your countertops so that they always keep that “just moved in” clean look.  Cleaning methods for different types of counters are just as varied as the materials themselves, so knowing what to use can be tricky and often something most homebuyers get wrong.  Here is a list of popular countertop materials that you may have used in your Weston Dean home and what you need to do in order to get them clean and keep them that way.

Solid Surface Countertops:  These versatile and durable countertops are very low maintenance.  Stains can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild mix of soap and water for stubborn stains.

Quartz Countertops:  Quartz countertops are also easy to clean with a damp cloth or paper towel, but stain should be wiped up as quickly as possible so that they don’t dry on the surface.  If it does stain, a non-abrasive cleaning pad and glass cleaner can be used.

Granite Countertops:  If this is the countertop you chose for your Weston Dean home, avoid cleaning chemicals at all costs.  Water and a mild application of dishwashing detergent will lift stains from natural stone surface and restore the look.  With natural stone, you may experience dirt collecting in the crevasses.  When this happens, you can clean them with a soft bristled brush or a clean toothbrush and the same solution of water and dish soap.

Laminate Countertops:  Use a soft sponge or a rag.  Rough cleaning tools, like steel wool or a scraper might leave permanent scratches across the surface.  For stains, mix baking soda and water into a paste and apply it to the stain.  Let it sit and them wipe it up and rinse with water.

Glass Countertops:  Glass countertops can be kept looking their best by using glass cleaners on a regular basis to keep dirt and grime for compiling.  For spills and stains, a paper towel dipped in soap and water will often fix the problem if this is the countertop you chose for your Weston Dean home.

Stainless Steel:  Use stainless steel cleaners that are designed to remove things like smudges.  Soap and water can be used, but water can damage the metal if left on it too long so it may be better to use a specially formulated stainless steel cleaner.

These tips on how to clean countertops will make sure you get the most out of your choice for your new Weston Dean home!
