Putting your smartphone to use
For most of us, a smartphone is something that is attached to us at all times. In fact, it is something that we likely spend a good portion of our day checking, communicating and so on. To many the smartphone has become more of a distraction to their life than anything. However, what if you put your smartphone to good use to actually help your life? Weston Dean Custom Homes, a New Braunfels custom home builder
, shares great tips to help your day to day life using your smart phone.
One of the best things about the smartphone, is the fact that it has a camera. Why is this important? Not only can you snap candid pictures on the go, but you can also use your camera phone to save time and money at home. Want to know how?
First, before you head out to the grocery store, take a picture of your open refrigerator and cabinets. It might sound funny but if everything you tend to use is in plain sight, it can be a lifesaver when you get to the store and wonder if you have something back at the house or not.
Next, your phones camera is a great way to keep track of disassembly projects. If you need to fix something with a lot of different parts, you will appreciate taking a quick photo of the item assembled before you start.
Your camera phone is also great for helping you pick the right paint hue. Before you head off to the home improvement store, take a panorama of the room you are going to paint as well as close ups of the fabric in the room as well. Both of these will come in handy when deciphering what colors will work best in the room.
Another great tip to put your camera phone to use for you is to take pictures of the serial numbers of the appliances in your home and save them to a folder on your computer. This may not come in handy for a while but it is bound to help you out in the long run.
Lastly, taking a picture of your WiFi password and saving it to your phone will come in handy more than you might imagine. When guests come into town or you have visitors at your house, being able to text them over the password will save the hassle of looking for the piece of paper where it is written in the house, that no one seems to ever be able to find half of the time.
Hopefully these tips help put your smartphone to good use for your day-to-day life moving forward!
